ANALOG GUNK MIXTAPE

Ugly and angular with top notes of head nod.
ANALOG GUNK is a mix tape with the beating heart of a punk record, a shout out to 90’s hiphop, a salute to French synthesiser psychedlia and an experiment in expediency and dirt.
It’s an album but it’s not an album. There are songs but they’re not real songs. The creative parameters were all tracks be made with synths and break beats, there were also golden era rap samples in there but Joelistics replaced them with his own vocals (with varying degrees of success) to avoid copywriter issues and give it an even more corrugated iron garden shed appeal.
The sound is ruff, rugged and intentionally brutal.
Somewhere in the past, a 20 yr old Joel is smiling through the bong mist.
